I believe that I did try to have another meeting, but nobody came.  By that time, 1992, I had started the W.A.S.H. Rag, which I put out as a print newsletter which I sent to mailing lists, including national and local women’s groups, feminist publications (magazines, newsletters), feminist book stores, national media, etc.  When I got internet capabilities, I first started my washrag.org before any of my other web sites.  I tried to start other internet capabilities as well, including a chat room on i-village which never would work, I tried repeatedly to start a group on yahoo which I was finally able to get to work and which I still use for the newsletter.  I got all of the back issues of the W.A.S.H. Rag on-line (click on “back issues” at www.washrag.org, which took me months.

I attended the UN’s 4th World Conference on Women, and most of the “International List” at washrag derives from it, I add names to it as people are interested in becoming associated with WASH.  As soon as I got back, I got that on-line, too.

I began to add links to the “Associated Links” for whatever women’s groups I came in contact with.  I still will put any group on that is even remotely of interest to women who have been victims of sexual harassment.  This needs to be organized better, but due to a severe problem with internet harassment, I have had little time to spend on revising my web sites.

Within a few years of my starting WASH, I became aware of others using the name.  I knew that they had never asked to be listed on my International List, I did refuse and still refuse to list any group using this name unless they are listed as a regional director on that list.  I intend to keep that procedure.

I am aware that religious faith is no litmus test for who is sexually harassed, and I still hope to have women of any religion, social status, race, color, or sexual preference be able to find help here.
