I was employed at Gal Power Systems in Mississauga to work on diesel generator systems. I was working on a pair of 16 v 92 Detroit diesel generator sets at 4160 volt at a facility called the South West Regional Centre in Chatham Ontario. I was requested by the project manager Moe Gallick of the Ontario Realty Corporation to supply and install some fuel system components at an Ontario Provincial Police transmitter towerclose by. When I went there to do the work I saw that this was an old abandoned site no longer in use. I was let into the building and began work. As I was working I noticed the building had a an unusual amount of rat poison or toxic chemicals distributed inside the building. No breathing equipment or protective clothing were supplied by either my employer Gal Power Systems , The Ontario Realty Corporation or the Ontario Provincial Police. Mr Gallick did not spend very much time in the building. I did not complete the work. Shortly after this I had to seek medical attention within the Ministry of Health and was off work for close to a year. This was a deliberate act. I almost died. This act of incompetence was the end of a series of poisonings that started a couple of years earlier when I was working at Harper Detroit Diesel on a project at Mississauga Hydro , probably continued when Iwas hired by Thomson Technology in British Columbia and almost ended in my death at Gal Power Systems. Talk about bad politics or a toxic work place. That's kind of the ultimate. Some people say there is no corruption here in Canada. The harassment in my workplaces to date with snide and off color comments about my mental health are unbelievable and intolerable. There is much more to the story. Here is a copy of a letter I sent to the Toronto Sun newspaper about an article that was published. This incident that happened to me is an odd health and safety issue. Here is a situation where a union might have made a difference. I will be sending more letters to various groups in the up coming year. Hi Mr Margolis. I found your article about Edwin P. Wilson all too frightening and hits me personally way too close to home. I was working at Harper Detroit Diesel in Toronto and one of my co workers or somebody in my customer base or the competition started poisoning my food over a period of months. I almost died. I had worked in the diesel generator industry for twenty two years as a field service technician at a variety of dealers and distributors based mostly out of the Toronto area. In this position I worked in and around all types of generator set applications such as apartment buildings, schools, retail stores, hospitals, marine units, data centers, airports, telephone switching centers, or just about anywhere you would find a generator set. This position also took me into a lot of high security buildings or buildings that you don't need to know exist. Some of the customers I have dealt with include Metropolitan Toronto Police, the Ontario Provincial Police, the R.C.M.P., Bell Canada, Transport Canada, Navigation Canada, Public Works Canada, Department of National Defence, the Ontario Realty Corporation, Nexacor Realty, AT&T, Cantel, C.I.D.A., External Affairs, and many, many more. I did quite a bit of work on high security micro wave and fibre optics communication links all around North America. This is where this poisoning comes from. One person I worked 15 yrs with on these systems, who I had not seen in 4 yrs, called me at home one night in the middle of this series of poisonings, who I didn't even know had my home phone number and asked "aren't you dead yet". I wound up on the West Coast of Canada standing in a parking lot with what were suppose to be Chinese Nationals from F.E.T.A.C. being photographed by the R.C.M.P. as part of a smear campaign. The worst part of all of this is Gerry Duffett almost died, that's me. The next worst part of all of this, is this is my tax dollars paying these freaks. I wonder how many times a day this goes on. I still don't know who poisoned me. I was off work for almost one year. I can now 5 yrs later barely hold a full time job. The harassment in my work place is unbelievable as far as off colour and snide comments about my mental health. There is much more to the story. My pager # is 416-612-5689. Don't tell anybody you know that, somebody might try to kill you. [See the account about Maxine Trujillo in Issue 7.4. People do indeed do things like this. The intrusive nature of this data collection will dissuade victims from reporting and deny the accused of due process. Action Needed: The Army should table this invasion of privacy Collecting anonymous data about the number, time and place of reported incidents of sexual violence is one thing. Documenting name, rank, serial number, Social Security number, a description of the incident and details of medical and mental health treatment is unconscionable and will bring the reporting of sexual violence and assault in the military to a standstill. Background: The Army's Freedom of Information/Privacy Division, has proposed action that will add a system of data collection to record private and personal information of any civilian or military person involved in a sexual assault. This system would record the name, Social Security number, demographic information, date of birth, service data and all investigation information of: ANY member of the Army who has been identified as a victim of or as an alleged perpetrator of a sexual assault; ANY civilian who is identified as a victim of a sexual assault allegedly committed by a member of the Army; ANY civilian who is identified as the alleged perpetrator of a sexual assault involving a member of the Army; and ANY civilian victim treated for sexual assault at an Army medical facility. For more information: * Federal Register ; Announcement of Database * Federal Register ; Announcement of Exemptions to Database * Army to launch ; database on sexual assault incidents * Defense officials ; release set of sexual assault policies Discussion of ; Military policy directives addressing confidentiality around Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence And Stalking Associated With The US Armed Forces PAT.REUSS(bleep)NOW.ORG Currently, there has been no decision made about this list. The Army claims that the list would have limited access, being accessible by only a handful of people. But experience leads one to have concern that it might be available on the internet to those handful of people, and internet security being what it is (non- existent), that would lead to abuses. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SEXUAL HARASSER AS CANDIDATE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I had a question about your organization and if you ever elect to get involved in suburban communities where a candidate in an election (and his campaign manager) has a history of being involved in multiple sexual harassment scandals/acts that have been previously exposed. This is happening in the city I live in and my self and especially my wife are very worried that this candidate for mayor (not the incumbent) might very possibly get elected in the upcoming general election a month from now. I've lived in this city my entire life (29 years) and have lots of information (legal documentation, lots of newspaper headings/articles, letters from victims harassed/assaulted, letters from other very concerned residents, etc.) Please let me know if there is anything/way your origination can do to help our desperate cause to prevent this man and his barbaric habits in the workplace from taking office. Thank you, Matt Matthew.Riddle(bleep)NCMC.com We offered to send out a press release to the media about it, but never heard from Mr. Riddle again. Hope it worked out for him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ VICTIM FEELS HARASSED BY GAY BOSS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My name is Elisa and I am writing to you because I can see that your email has the word WASH and I am a bit lost about what I am going through. i have decided to let my parents know and I have realized that every time I talk about it I shake and feel like crying.. also I am a bit "scared" of making people think I am being too exaggerated, or that is the way I am understanding thing... I am 29 years old , Spanish, working in a big company in London as a Recruitment Consultant. I have always been told I trust people to quickly and I am too friendly with people I have met just days ago, this is the reason for why I feel a bit trapped. I do not want anyone to think it is my imagination.. because though I consider myself a very sociable (maybe too much I am starting to think) person. I am also a respectful woman who would never make anyone feel uncomfortable as I think my boss is now making me feel. My biggest dilemma is that he is Gay. He is my divisional manager and is just 32 years old.. I have been working with him for the last nearly 6 months and for the first two months i did not realize that one of his closest friends at work was a woman who happens to be lesbian. I have been with my boyfriend for 7 months and I am straight.. I used to have a good relation ship at work with my boss.. and now.. for a few situations I have found myself in. I have started feeling COMPLETELY UNCONFORTABLE AND it is something that is keeping me stressed, nervous, worried, a bit scared for my job...(as his behavior has changed completely since the day I did not go for a drink with him and his friend Sarah , the other person who is lesbian.) I get home everyday angry, sad, confused and stressed out.. I KNOW I AM A VERY SENSITIVE PERSON, but I know I don't make things up — the thing is that his attitude is confusing me and I have no idea about how I have to behave or where to go and get advise. I am now getting to the point in where the only thing I do is to think I don't want to go to work and face his "funny attitude" towards me, in which I have to start lying for him not to get into my private life as much as he would like to, in which even his comments about my boyfriend have started making me feel completely uncomfortable. I SPEND THE WHOLE DAY TRYING TO PRETTEND I THINK HE IS JOKING AND I KIND OF FEEL EMBARASED WITH MYSELF BECAUSE I CAN FEEL IT IS NOT THE RIGHT ATTITUDE TO ADOPT, but I really do not know what to do or who to go to for advise. I AM REALLY SORRY I AM NOT GIVING YOU AS MANY DETAILS AS I HAVE, AS I KNOW FEEL A BIT OVER EXCITED ABOUT ALL THIS BECAUSE I HAD THIS CONVERSTATION WITH MY PARENTS AND I NAME EVERY SINGLE UNCONFORTABLE SITUATION I HAVE GONE THROUGH FOR THE LAST 3 OR 4 WEEKS. I am in Spain for 4 days break and I will be back to work on Wednesday the 26 of October, happy because my boss is on holiday until the week after that. I wonder if there is anyone I could go for some advise. Thank you a million times for your time reading this email, and please forgive me if I have not given you enough details about his behavior. I have spoken to one of my closest colleagues at work about it, and she supports me on this one.. Elisa elisa_bernal(bleep)yahoo.es Since Elisa had no problems with her boss until he seemed intent on bringing her into his circle of gay friends, I think that this is a matter of freedom of association. Perhaps conventions in Spain are different from those in London, too. Being a foreigner increases the difficulty of "fitting in." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ VAWA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lisa Lederer, 202/371-1999 Cheryl O'Donnell, 202/543-5566 Domestic and Sexual Violence Experts Laud Congress for Completing Work on `Violence Against Women Act;' Urge President to Quickly Sign It Into Law A broad coalition of the nation's leading experts on domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and dating violence praised Congress for completing work on the Violence Against Women Act of 2005 this week. The Senate reauthorized the landmark legislation yesterday, and the House of Representatives this afternoon. "This is groundbreaking legislation that will make a tremendous difference in stopping violence against women and helping victims," said Lisalyn R. Jacobs, Vice President of Government Relations for Legal Momentum, which coordinates the Task Force – a coalition of more than 2,000 organizations dedicated to ending violence against women. "We thank Senators Arlen Specter (R-PA) and Joseph Biden (D- DE), and Representatives James Sensenbrenner (R-WI) and John Conyers (D-MI) for their strong, steadfast support for this bill." First passed in 1994, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) improved the law enforcement response to violence, and made urgently-needed services available to victims. In 2000, Congress re-authorized the law, adding services for rural, older and immigrant women, as well as those with disabilities. The new bill continues successful programs, enhances services for victims of sexual assault and improves programs that address health, prevention and other essential issues. The legislation had expired on September 30 of this year. "For ten years, VAWA has provided needed support to women, children and men facing violence," Jacobs continued. "We urge President Bush to waste no time in signing VAWA 2005 into law. There is no time to waste." The new bill will enhance the civil and criminal justice response; improve services and outreach to victims; provide resources for sexual assault victims through rape crisis centers and state coalitions; help children and youth who experience or witness violence; address the needs of victims from communities of color; aid immigrant and tribal victims; and support prevention, health, housing and economic security programs designed to stop violence and help victims. Yes, I was partially paralyzed but since it was never fully admitted by the veterans hospitals.....well, I'm back at full charge again! There are no military medical records to rob me of what I always wanted to do! Well, not from all the doctors eyes anyways since they always related it to STRESS.....HA! just because you have ONE bad experience......you do not let that reflect on your whole way of living! I want to still do what I was set out to do before the tragic event........Yes, at that time my feelings changed but that was also in part because I had a neurological condition which effected the way I felt or even thought many of times. Now I am back to my old self and living life two years ago ..... before the event. That period of time is a speck of dust. I barely remember it due to all the confusion I was experiencing. It is like as though I am two years younger too. Many people say I seem a lot younger. Well, goes to show....I did not let those two years of pain and agony get the best of me. Well Janet......now you know what I am doing. My mother thinks I should write a book. I told her though that I have moved on and have nothing to show for and just plan on living my life normal. It is odd that the debts were never covered under Medicaid or something considering I had to work my way back to work to pay off the debts. The reason why I could not get assistance was because I was living in with my family whom took care of me once I risked my life to return to the U.S. I was incapable of moving out on my own due to my condition. Since my family made over the amount to qualify for healthcare insurance for the poor, I had to suck up the bills which I am still paying for today. Yes, I could of kept my healthcare but due to the companies reluctance to flee the area, they did not assign to keep my insurance which I signed papers for on the day of the wrongful discharge. The papers were never forwarded to the insurance company and furthermore I did not have their address or contact information and the company never gave it to me. I did sign for papers for Medicaid in a facility but had to prove of having an address etc......but remember I was reluctant to suffer temporary homelessness and still managed to use someone else's address to just stake out a claim to get assistance. That assistance was not in until I reached the U.S. a long time later. I would of never of made it by then. Way to go, Carolyn! That's what it's all about, isn't it? Getting on with your life, learning from the experience and being successful in spite of a bad experience. "Living well is the best revenge." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ISIAH THOMAS CHARGED WITH SEXUAL HARASSMENT ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Netscape news item led to a story about Isiah Thomas, president of the New York Knicks, being sued for sexual harassment and discrimination by a former employee of the team. Anucha Browne Sanders, herself a former college basketball star at Northwestern University in the `80's, asked her supervisor, Steve Mills, for help in the matter but nothing was done to correct the problem. Lawyers for Thomas and Madison Square Gardens, co-defendants, claim that Browne Sanders is trying to get a financial windfall and that she was fired because she was unable to fulfill the obligations of her position. She claimed that after Thomas joined the Knicks in 2003 he berated her, made crude comments about her to Knicks officials, and told them not to listen to any of her directions. As a result, point guard Stephon Marbury is also accused of behaving in a hostile manner towards her. Brown Sanders goes on to say that soon Thomas' behavior became sexually charged and he made sexually explicit comments and kissed her and hugged her against her will. She says she met with human resources twice last year. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ANOTHER CASE OF TOXIC POISONING ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In support of Gerry Duffett's claims of being poisoned, I am including details about a local event that made headlines around the region. In October 2005, all of the residents in an apartment building in Salem, South Dakota, were evacuated because everyone in the building had become ill. The state sent in a hazmat team, and they found aluminum phosphide, an AG chemical used to sterilize grain bins, inside. The next day, one of the residents, Irene Schock, died. Subsequently, it was found that Billy Schultz, who had been evicted from the building after complaints from residents including Irene Schock, admitted to having gotten the chemical from a farm and put it into the water softener. He claimed that he did not want to kill anyone, just make them sick. Schultz was recently convicted of the crime and he was sentenced to 20 years in the state penitentiary. Schultz claimed that he had used the chemical previously on "critters in holes," but I suspect that this was his way of getting even with anyone who got in his way. Who ever suggested that a water softener would be a good way to distribute the chemical? This is how the system works. Maxine Trujillo knew it, and I know it from experience. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHO STUDY SHOWS VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN IS COMMON ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The November 25, 2005, Argus Leader carried an article about violence against women. A WHO report found that wife beating and sexual violence against women were common. The WHO study of 24,000 women in 10 nations called the "WHO Multi- country Study on Women's Health and Domestic Violence Against Women" reports that the percentage of women reporting domestic violence ranged from 15% in Japan to 71% in rural Ethiopia. The report goes on to say that in many societies, the abuse of women is regarded as "normal." All of the women surveyed had a male partner at some time in their lives. The survey included women in Bangladesh, Brazil, Ethiopia, Japan, Namibia, Peru, Samoa, Serbia, Montenegro, Thailand and Tanzania. According to the Center for Disease Control, 1.5 million women in the US are assaulted in a domestic dispute every year. One woman in six will be assaulted in such a dispute in her lifetime. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PROBLEMS WITH THE MAIL ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I guess this would be as good a time as any to discuss a common problem with incoming snail mail. I had offered to distribute a newspaper dedicated to encouraging poor women into activism, Mother Warrior's Voice. I had distributed it before with no problems, but the newspapers which I recently received had some kind of fumes on them which caused me to leave the bundle in the car and to put the individual copies they sent me in my entry to keep them from fouling my air. I don't think for one minute that Mother Warrior's Voice had anything to do with this, it is obvious that someone at the printer or at the post office had done this to make anyone reading the publication ill. Sort of like poisoning residents of an apartment house who had you evicted, don't you think? This has been going on for twenty years or more. I have to deal with it every time I pick up my mail. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ INTERNET PROBLEMS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The hijacking of e-mail and web site traffic goes on unabated. I have found a web site for reporting discrepancies, Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) with the mailing address of 4676 Admiralty Way, Suite 330, Marina del Rey, CA 90292- 6601 USA. Phone: +1.310.823.9358 FAX: +1.310.823.8649 http://www.icann.org/ form for complaint under FAQ. Registrars and hosts are now making it impossible to view the zone settings, and are acting dumb about knowing anything about it. This is because they are making money hand over fist by selling e-mail to spammers and pfischers, and traffic to similar web sites. I even found a site on a search engine that claimed they could guarantee you a specific number of hits per day, only possible if they are getting traffic from someplace, in my opinion, by hijacking web traffic to legitimate sites. They have also instituted a process called dynamic IP addresses, which does not assign an IP address to your web site until a visitor visits it. This is a blatant attempt to cover up the actual IP addresses for your web site so they can "dynamically" steal your traffic and e-mail. They can only get away with this if we let them. If clients insist on knowing the IP address for their web sites and seeing the settings on their registrars, the problems with hijacking become much more difficult. Your registrar information belongs to you, and you have every right to know every setting for your site on your registrar. I also read in a magazine at the doctor's office, that the Secret Service, a division of the Treasury Department, is investigating pfisching because of its financial ramifications. Since pfisching and spamming are, if I am correct, both a result of the hijacking of e-mail, you might want to go to http://www.secretservice.gov/contact.shtml, find "investigations" on the right, under it is an option for Cyber Threat/Network Incident Reporting. The form is daunting. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anyone who saw the film Northcountry is encouraged to send in their observations ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New Link ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Denise Marhoefer The Defense Foundation For Children USA Juvenile Defense Resources, Information, Experts, Legal Consultants, Media Contacts, Investigative Journalism, Pre-paid Legal for Juveniles www.defensefoundationforchildren.com Changing The Destiny Of A Child voice 765.853.5903 fax 1-678-348-2924 admin(bleep)defensefoundationforchildren.com, Marhoeferdm(bleep)aol.com, The Juvenile Defender Online Newspaper www.thejuveniledefender.com admin(bleep)thejuveniledefender.com send submissions for publication to TheJuvenileDefender(bleep)yahoogroups.com Media contact publicity(bleep)on-air-live-radio.tv Join The-Exchange-National(bleep)yahoogroups.com Miracles Of Hope Network www.miracles-of-hope.com New York~Chicago~Paris~Hollywood~ Washington DC~Atlanta~Las Vegas ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WE'RE ON THE WEB http://www.washrag.org/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This on-line version of THE WASHRAG is being sent to you free.
