I believed my government had integrity... Stupid me. As a Pro Se complainant I beat the opposing Government Chief Counsel into signing a statement that the Government could no longer dispute any of my claims, they had all happened exactly as I stated. This came about because the Opposing Counsel filed a Motion for Summary Judgment and there can be no issues in dispute. At this point it was a legal maneuver, but in Federal Court I could pull a Johnny Cochran on him by drawing it into his testimony. However, the day after I became time-barred my command reneged on their promise, and here I am now; perpetually black-balled. I would dearly like to keep my now-dead case in the limelight, so I will offer it to you, but I don't know if you're interested, because I'm a GUY who was sexually harassed by a man-hating female supervisor. Being a respectful person myself I never realized how harmful this abuse can be; in-fact I even remember thinking being sexually abused could even be fun! Being a very liberal thinking, uninhibited sort of a person I always thought there could be nothing anyone could do or say to offend me. Boy, was I wrong. Abuse of power and disrespect for anyone knows no boundaries; its sick and twisted and it has no place in the workplace, let alone in society. I'm married with two children, I greatly depend on my income and I'm not an in-your-face type of person. AKA I'm a prime target. I had a VERY fulfilling (wonderful) career in my background (deep diving and special warfare) and I was being fast-tracked when Valerie became my boss. Valerie hated men and she hated veterans because of our 'job protections'. She used to sneak up behind me and explode screaming, "You God-Damned, stupid, Mother-f__king, S-O-B...blah-blah. The tirade went on and on in-front of all of my co-workers and it always ended with "I'm going to walk you out the f__king gate". She had a clear glass jar with dog testicles floating in a clear preservative which she would wave in front of men's faces saying "I collect balls, do you want your f__king balls in this jar"? Then one day she took away all my engineering authority; with a stroke of a pen she ended my job. But I'm a 10-point disabled vet; she knew I would still be employed so the harassment intensified. The story went on and on until one day I collapsed with a cogitating heart and passed out. My wife convinced me I had to file an EEO complaint, so on May 15th 1999 I reluctantly did. My request for total redress was that she be moved away from me (with an apology), but I wrote in my complaint that I didn't want her harmed or degraded, just moved. I did not request any favors or compensation of any kind. It was an easy brainless fix, but instead they fought me for over 6 years. Eventually, Sen. Arlen Specter personally wrote Sec of the Navy Mr. Gorden England and asked him what the Hell was going on. Eventually an O-6 USN Captain (up for admiral) lost his job and took an early, (full) retirement, a GM-15 took his early out right after he was exposed that he lied to a US Sen., a drugged-out GM-14 administrator took an early out (I refused to let her blackmail me and I included her handiwork in my filings, so she destroyed my beneficial suggestion and broke off an agreement which ran the business the Navy partnered with into bankruptcy) and the GM-13 female supervisor who started the whole mess took an early (full) retirement. My accretion to GS-12 was stopped cold. I am still a GS-11, I am still black-balled and I am 57 years old (TODAY, Oct. 20 is my birthday) — my career is destroyed. I have no chance to retire (I'm broke), and I have no chance to earn one dime more while watching lesser qualified people get the jobs that open up. I'm in the classic holding pattern, and I'm only barely able to hold on. I now know discrimination personally by all it's first names, and it’s not the joke I once thought it was. Not race, color, religion, gender or age matters — discrimination and the harassment that goes along with it knows no boundaries. Had it been dealt with in the very beginning EVERYONE would be better today for it today, but by their remorseless, inexorably defense of wrong, the damage to all including the Government becomes incalculable. Those old wounds should never be allowed to heal over; they should be left exposed where everyone can see them and learn. Abuses and defense of abuses should never be allowed to happen again. I am based in south central Pennsylvania (Mechanics-burg) at a base called the Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP). There are two such bases in the world; Phila. PA is the Navy Air support/control point and we at Mechanicsburg support everything else. In 1985, I had just come ashore (I used to live underwater- 500 feet deep for up to 30 days at a time). I wanted some pick-up work so I stopped by the local Army base; I was pleasantly shocked when they hired me that same day to do facilities engineering at their New Cumberland Army base. After a few months of engineering work (I loved that job) the Navy learned about my background and recruited me away from the Army. Because the commercial diving industry is far and away more advanced than the US Navy will ever be, I got to play with every piece of equipment in the Special Warfare inventory and many more equipments they were just experimenting with. One thing led to another and I was offered a very prestigious job and a 3-grade advancement at the Experimental diving facility in Panama City, Fl. I almost took it, but I didn't want to relocate my family, and besides my job responsibilities were growing exponentially at Mechanicsburg. I reasoned I could grow here instead. Since the Navy takes the lead in many of the sneaky Pete/spooky stuff I was eventually given the multi-service engineering configuration control/authority/support responsibility (by formal letters of marquee) for all diving (including the Army Corps of Engineer's Dam Diving and the nuclear reactor core diving for the Westinghouse reactors), all Explosives Ordinance Disposal (EOD AKA bomb disposal), all (above and below water) night vision and targeting lasers, spec war dune buggies, all spec war machine pistols/guns, all spec war jumping (P3 Premeditated Parachute Program), all service's 50 cal sniper rifle, all spec war mines (limpet and winged), and Navy only; sea mammal program, SEAL delivery vehicle (mini wet subs), SDV torpedoes... the list goes on and on and it reads like it's from a Tom Clancy novel. My new career started off GREAT; I was immediately accepted by the teams because of my background as a saturation diver, U/W medic, U/W welder and blaster. What a GREAT group of heroes they are. brian.fahey(bleep)navy.mil 'they may have drowned me, but I took their ship and crew down with me in the process'. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Crossing the Line ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ By Amy Wilson Lexington, Kentucky — Sometimes a teenage girls biggest problem isn’t getting a guy to talk to her. It’s getting a guy to stop. Christia Brown, assistant professor of psychology at the University of Kentucky and Campbell Leaper, professor of psychology at the University of California at Santa Cruz, asked 600 girls ages 12 to 18 about their experiences with sexism and sexual harassment. What they found was nothing short of shocking. For starters, nine out of ten girls reported having been sexually harassed at least once. Those who were good at athletics were subject to sexist comments; so, too, those who were good at science and math. Girls’ appearances are openly commented upon, they are being touched. And how they respond to these assaults depends on each girls background. A recent conversation with Brown helped to illuminate further her study’s results: Q: Do most teenage girls recognize sexist statements that are directed at themselves and their friends? A: It is hard to know. There may be things that get said that go unnoticed. But we do know that almost all girls report sexist statements happening at least once. That means that they are recognizing it. We suspect they notice a lot more as well, but they discount it and try to forget about it unless it is so obvious there is just no way to ignore it. In other areas of research, we have learned that people admit it is sexism only when it is very obvious and there is no other explanation. The rest of the time they blame themselves, instead of the other person, for what happened. Q: Do they understand sexual harassment? And in what ways do they define it? A: We defined it for them by asking specific questions. We did not use the legal definitions that adults know, but asked questions relating to any kind of negative or unwanted behavior based on the girls’ gender or sexuality. For example, a lot of girls mentioned receiving unwanted attention because of being a girl. Adults would not call this sexual harassment. But for girls, this was a real problem. They would have boys follow them around school and yell sexual comments at them in the hallway. Their examples were also more extreme. A lot of girls had been touched or grabbed by boys against their wishes. This was often having their breasts or butt grabbed — usually in the hallways or school bus. It was always out of eyesight of adults but often happened at or near school. Q: Do they come to expect it in their lives: A: Yes. This also seems to be part of the problem. It seems a lot of sexual harassment happens to girls, but they said, “Oh, that is just boys being boys. That stuff always happens.” They expect it so much, they never report it to any adults. Q: I understand you found a difference in how girls from higher socio-economic levels do. Can you explain the difference and why you think there is a difference? How about the difference between girls from different ethnic groups? Do some perceive some behaviors OK while others don’t? Or is this also an issue of self-image? A: We know that white girls tend to report more sexism than girls from Asian and Latino families. This may be due to differences in traditional gender roles. Some cultures have more traditional roles than other cultures. It seems that cultures in which men have a certain type of behavior that is expected of them, and women have a certain type of behavior that is expected of them, that the girls are less likely to report sexual harassment. We don’t know for certain, but we suspect that they just accept the behavior as more typical than girls from other cultures. African-American girls seem to experience a lot of sexual harassment. For African-American girls, they live in a culture in which the pervasive stereotype from movies, music, music videos, TV shows, advertisements is that they are very sexually active. The stereotype seems to affect how people treat them. Q: Let’s talk about feminism for a minute. Do girls who know something about feminism experience sexism or sexual harassment more or differently than girls who might be more traditionally gender based? A: They seem to be better at labeling it as sexism. For one, they know that sexism exists and that people can be treated differently because of their gender. Then when that does happen, they are less likely to blame themselves. Q: How about female high school athletes: Do they face unique sexist challenges? A: They often get comments about their sexuality or their inferior athletic abilities. However, we also know that those girls have the best outcomes of any girls in high school. They tend to have higher self-esteem and do well academically. They also tend to have better body images than non-athletes. We suspect it is because they view their bodies as powerful and use their bodies for a purpose, instead of just viewing their bodies as something that needs to be attractive to the opposite sex. Q: In your study, you indicate that repeated sexual harassment tends to make high school girls blame themselves for the behavior of others. It also makes them feel bad about their bodies and erodes their self-esteem. Is there anything to be done about that? A: It seems that the best way to counteract the effects is to actively deal with it. We know from other research that girls who try to act like it doesn’t bother them, who try to pretend it didn’t happen or who say it is just normal, are the ones who suffer the most. The girls who say something, either to the person making the comment or an adult, or girls who seek the support of a parent or friend, seem to be less affected. A: Overall, we have learned that almost all girls experience sexist comments and behaviors, the key is how the girls react to it. Do they internalize it and blame themselves , or do they blame the person making the comment and try to actively combat the statement. If they internalize it, their self-esteem can go down, their body image can be more negative and they do less well in school. If they label it as sexism, and try to actively fight it (even if that is just complaining to their mom) they seem to be largely unaffected by the comments. The problem is that most girls internalize it. They seems to accept it as normal and don’t want to be seen as someone who takes things too seriously or rocks the boat. That is where the negative effects seem to come from. The total number of women affected is unknown but without doubt involves tens of millions. Female genital mutilation varies and in Africa there has been a tendency to group all kinds of mutilation under the misleading term “female circumcision.” Circumcision as we know it is the cutting of the prepuce or hood of the clitoris. This, the mildest type, affects only a small proportion of the millions of women concerned. Besides this is excision, which is the cutting of the clitoris and of all or part of the labia minora. The worse of these kinds of mutilations is “infibulation”, which is the cutting of the clitoris, labia minora and at least the anterior or two thirds and often the whole of the medial part of the labia majora. These operations are done with special knives, razor blades or pieces of glass. Most frequently the operations are performed by an old woman of the village or birth attendants or village barbers. More recently, mutilations are being carried out in hospitals in urban areas. Outside of hospitals, anesthetics are never used. The young girl, entirely nude, is immobilized in sitting position on a low stool by at least three or four women. One of them has her arms tightly around the girl’s chest, two others hold the child’s thighs apart by force in order to open wide the vulva. The child’s arms are held tight behind her. The operator cuts with her razor from top to bottom of the small lips and then scrapes the flesh from the inside of the large lips. The girl howls and writhes in pain, although strongly held down. The operator wipes the blood from the wound and the women attending verify her work. Herb mixtures, cow dung or ashes are rubbed on the wound to stop bleeding. The two sides of the vulva are closed by scarification or sewing close the vagina except for a small opening created by inserting a splinter or wood the size of a match stick for the elimination of urine and menstrual blood. Exhausted, the little girl is dressed and put to bed after an operation which lasts between fifteen and twenty minutes. Health risks and complications depend upon the gravity of the mutilations, the skill and eyesight of the operator and struggles of the child. Whether immediate or long term, the consequences are grave. Hemorrhaging may result in death. Cuts cause infections, since the instruments are not sterilized, tetanus often results. In all types of mutilations, nerves of vital importance to sexual enjoyment are amputated. We of this women’s center condemn these barbaric practices and have launched a vigorous enlightenment campaign by radio, television, holding workshops and seminars and having a well equipped team of field workers with public address systems to tour the rural areas and enlighten the grass root women on the dangers inherent in the practices and urging them not to submit themselves to them. ERIC GRIFFIN opcv(bleep)icccpi.int howrealareyou_m(bleep)yahoo.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Persecution of Religious Spokeswoman ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Please publish this letter about the problem with harassment of women liturgical artists in Chautauqua County, NY. For about 4 years my family has been harassed by male artists and pastors in this NY community because I have been an outspoken advocate of women’s rights in the churches and employee rights in the larger community. Because I have taken a stand against harassment and opposition of women in this area, and because I have taken a leadership role on the local Roman Catholic Church to speak for the ordination of women, and the use of inclusive language in at least some of our liturgies, myself and my family have been repeatedly prosecuted and harassed. The opinions expressed in the lyrics and sermons on local churches reflect only the ideas of a few elderly men in the Church hierarchy, not the church community. Some of the harassment that my family has been subjected to are as follows: harassers have bashed in the windshield of my car, have popped (repeatedly) bicycle tires belonging to me and my kids (my kids need their bikes to get to work), have blacklisted me repeatedly at many different jobs, have made it difficult for myself and my kids to be justly employed, have slandered me both publicly and privately, and have cheated me out of money and valuable property. Members of the local Catholic Churches, and local Baptists have all been involved in this insidious and mean-spirited harassment of my family. Harassment has included personal verbal attacks in my home environment and hate phone calls and messages, as well as veiled personal insults delivered from several different pulpits. Since three of the organizations involved are church organizations, I’d like to call for a boycott of these churches by withholding 1/2 of your usual church donation to these organizations to represent the 1/2 of the church congregations that are being oppressed and threatened by the sexists in these churches. I’d like ot ask that this 1/2 boycott of the Roman Catholic Church, the United Methodist Church, and the Baptist Church be continued until women leaders are no longer prosecuted by these churches, and until women in the Catholic Church are allowed to enter into Holy Orders, that is, ordained as priests. This will send a clear sign to all of the churches that sexism has no place in God’s house, and that the congregations intend that our churches become safe places for women and children. At this time it is difficult for me to find a church in my community where I am safe from attack. Donna Marie Miller, Fredonia, NY From Women and Earth Volume 16 December 10, 2007 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Last Word On Remote Access Devices ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Because I knew that someone had access to my computer but I had no way of telling how, I took the extreme action of looking into my system registry. I want you to know that the first time I looked at the Windows XP System Registry, I experienced heart palpitations and panic attacks. But desperation for the poor support that I was getting for the problems I was having drove me to take desperate means. If you go to Start and click on Run, then type in REGEDIT and click on OK, you may experience the same thing. Never change anything in the System Registry without the advice of an expert, who is probably earning $200,00+ a year at Microsoft. But you can look as much as you want to. If you want to see if there is a RASMAN on your computer, make sure that "My Computer" is highlighted, click on edit and “find” and type in "RASMAN" without the quote marks and click on OK. You can keep clicking on “find next” if you find any at all to determine the extent of RASMAN events in your computer's registry. If you find any at all, but have never seen another user on the user tab of the task manager, then there is a problem, because there should have been an icon on the task bar and an entry for it in the networking tab and the user tab of the task manager if it was ever used. But you have, as I did, probably already determined there was none of these. This creates a problem. I had already searched on my Windows desktop to see if there were any option to hide icons, as there is an option to hide folders. If you go to Start\Control Panel\Appearance and Themes\Files and Folders and click on view, you can search to find the option to "Show hidden files and folders," which you should already have done in order to make sure you can see everything on your computer, and selected that option. But I had found no such option to display hidden icons. Out of curiosity and with little more than an educated guess, I highlighted “My Computer” and used the find function in REGEDIT to search for "hide", again without the quote marks. And I not only hit pay dirt, I found the mother lode. My System registry was full of "Hide ICON” Commands and a couple of "Hide Icon Managers.” Now I knew why, although I knew there was a remote access device on my computer, I could never see it from the desktop. What is insidious about this is that no anti-virus program would ever find it. It is a legitimate option to have a broad band or satellite connection on your computer. Along with access to the computer, they had workstations on it, so they could do everything on my computer that I could do, and probably had set their priority higher than mine so I had to wait for them to do what they wanted before I could do what I wanted to. In the process of finding this out, one of the places the find function for "hide" stopped at was a domain name, "fishidentification. com". I puzzled for several days as to why the find function had stopped there, then realized that it was really fisHIDEntification.com to the find function. It was a rare fluke and dumb luck that this was selected. By counting lines per screen, I realized that in the section where this domain appeared, there were around 3,300 other domain names (none of which I had ever visited), about a third of which were to porn sites and between a quarter to a half of those were to child pornography sites. There were two copies of this list in the system registry. If you want to look for such a list in your registry, I suggest that you search on .biz, .org, .edu or .gov, as there are hundreds of legitimate .com URLs in the system registry. I also found an option for cloaking in Windows, a tool used by pedophiles to allow them to visit sites with child pornography without fear of being traced, and services for BIGFOOT, VERISIGN and WHO WHERE, used to track down children they might have chatted with. I never downloaded them or used them. Now, I had proof of a remote access device on my computer which I have rubbed the noses of Microsoft, Hewlett Packard and law enforcement into. I did send a copy of that list to the SD state attorney general’s office (at their request) in case it might help track down pedophiles. I did hear a few weeks later on TV news that there had been a roundup of 400 pedophiles which they said had been tracked down because they had visited pedophile web sites. There is no way they would give me credit. Probably some idiot bureaucrat got a promotion because I spent five hours compiling a listing of those 3,300 domain names and paid the postage to mail it to them. There is one more way to know for sure that there is a remote access device on your computer. Before you power your computer down, go to START\My Computer and select the C:\Windows\ Prefetch. Select all and click on delete. This does no damage, as the prefetch folder just saves frequently used processes that saves time when booting. Restart your computer and go to the same Prefetch folder and watch the system starting different applications. Because you are already on the computer, any application with “logon” in it must be someone else. I have LOGONUI.EXE and LOGON.SCR whenever I start my computer up. Guess what, LOGONUI-.EXE is a command for a satellite uplink. Using windows search on “icon” I found over a hundred more satellite uplink commands, none of which are accessible to me. Instead of having an address like C:\ i386, which is the address for MORICONS on my computer, they have an inscrutable address of con\ms\ui which is where UIContextMenuClass is located. But although I have searched and searched, I cannot figure out how to open it. But when I right clicked on the LOGONUI.EXE icon in the prefetch file and selected properties, I could change the program to open it to notepad. Then I was able to open the LOGONUI.EXE icon and there I found that everything legible it addressed was on HARDDISKVOLUME2, which I was told by HP is the system partition for the restore function, all hidden, of course. Running defrag before I did a system recovery showed four partitions (their catalogs show up as green strips) on my system, probably all full of kiddy porn. Maybe some of the people caught with child pornography on their computers are innocent. Maybe I was being set up. Because the satellite uplink icons were still there after I did a system recovery from the D: drive (an inaccessible CD ROM), they were apparently put there by Hewlett Packard or Microsoft. End of story, or possibly by Bits n’ Bytes, a local repair shop that had my computer for two weeks, ostensibly to remove viruses from it, all of which were still there after I got it back, is guilty. When they had women with marketable skills who needed jobs and wanted to work in a non-hostile environment, they threw them away. The women they kept in their employ were presumably, instead of doing the jobs they were hired for, providing sex for their supervisors, another reason to doubt their integrity. In my experience, women of this kind rarely do anything useful, they are little more than in-house prostitutes. In a final insult to their credibility, they had to pay unemployment for them. One would like to know how many of the bills that they say they cannot pay could be honored by what they have had to pay in sexual harassment claims and other expenses related to replacing and training new workers in the past five or ten years. How can anyone take these clowns seriously. Why they are being paid such huge salaries is hard to comprehend. A person would just as soon buy Japanese as compensate companies with so little respect for working women. Sincerely, Janet Leih President and National Director Enclosures Issue 14.4, 16.3 and 16.4 P.S. Funding a bailout of the auto industry is like subsidizing sexual harassment and prostitution. But since the U.S. Government is apparently doing that in its own structure, (see issue 16.4 page 5), that is probably no problem for you.
