They are usually tried on animals first. Then, the new drug moves into the experimental area with human subjects. In the past, most drugs have been discovered either by identifying the active ingredient from traditional remedies or by serendipitous discovery. A new approach has been to understand how disease and infection are controlled at the molecular and physiological level. Tina, attended college to earn a degree to be able to work in the medical field. She is happily married, with a teenage daughter and became employed by a large company as a laboratory technician. Her primary function to get take blood samples, and compare them to other samples under the microscope to be sure the new experimental drug is having the desired effect on patients. Clients at the clinic were cancer patients. They had all agreed to participate in a blind study to determine the effectiveness of the new drug. A blind study is where half the patients are given a placebo, and the other half are given the new drug (only the clinic knows who gets which). The new drug, contained properties that had been approved previously. Basically, it contained an active ingredient from a traditional remedy, and was therefore given approval for use on human subjects. While checking blood samples, Tina noticed no improvement of the clients who were using the new drug. It was part of her job, to report the results–and, Tina did so without hesitation. Some time after her findings report was filed with her supervisor, she noticed some things had changed where she worked and at home: Her supervisor was inappropriate to her–making sexual remarks, flirtations, accidently always bumping into her breasts, and that was just the beginning. She experienced stalking by more than one person, mobbing in her work place and even at the store, hang-up calls at odd hours, and vicious rumors. Eventually her husband insisted on a psychological examination of her and medication. He told her she was imagining things. She became more restless and nervous. A separation soon followed, with her teenage daughter going with her husband. Eventually, really suffering a breakdown, she lost her job. The drug was approved for human use by the powers that be. They are currently being sold, at a very high price, to cancer patients everywhere. Tina continues to be mobbed, stalked, harassed, unemployable and does not have the right to visitation with her daughter. The drug company, is owned by a politician...big surprise. Think Again ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It all seemed to be in order when I moved to my current residence, the phone company had a pedestal by the road, and the line came up out of the ground right under their box on the side of my house, and I got phone calls from friends and family on a fairly frequent schedule. But in 1995, things changed. I had previously had problems in investing in the stock market, I had gotten very bad advice from financial advisors, so I decided that instead of investing in Wall street, I would invest in my property. At that time, I got my water via a well, and bringing rural water to my property should increase the value of it. I lived in a mobile home which was on concrete blocks, but if I had a basement put in, it would be easier for me to maintain, and get service providers to do maintenance work. To start with, the rural water company said it would take two days to put in, but it ended up taking 8. The trenches that they put in for the pipes were closer to two feet across than to one foot, where usually they dig a slim 4 inch trench, certainly large enough for a one inch pipe. In addition, they dug up my whole back yard including the septic tank and the sewer pipe from my mobile home to it. I kept questioning why they were doing the things they were doing, but they just said they were having problems. I had to go to town to pay some bills and while I was gone, they finished up and finally left. I subsequently got the basement put in. When they had set the mobile home back on its foundation, I went out and asked the contractor when he would be able to connect the phone line up as he had to disconnect it while he was setting it on the foundation. He said he would do it right away, and I stood and watched him as he connected the line which came up out of the ground right under the box to the connection in the box. End of story, right? No, not exactly. The next spring I noticed that there was a hole under my front deck that was at least a foot deep that I had not seen the previous fall. I was jacking the deck up so I could fill it in when I noticed that the telephone line which earlier had come up from the ground under the phone company box now ran from there under the deck and the entry, then came up near the foundation and went back into the phone company's box. I kept thinking to myself that it had not been that way last fall, I called the sheriff's office, but they had no useful suggestions. I tried to pull it out, idiotically thinking that it had somehow been stretched out of place, but it was buried much too deep, it went down under the deck to some netherworld, who knew what was down there. I stoically filled the hole with dirt the contractor had left behind and decided to ignore it. After all, I was 60 years old by that time, and if anyone was so deprived that they got jollies from listening to an elderly woman talking about her arthritis, they needed sympathy. As it turned out, that was really not how it played out. There were occasions during the intervening years when I had to wonder if something strange wasn't going on. Once, I heard my phone on my computer ring as I was walking into the door of my computer room. I picked up the receiver with my right hand and the base with my left hand. The line was dead, and I realized the phone was not even plugged into the phone line. So how did it ring? Who knows. Not me. On another occasion, I was sitting at my computer with the phone on a TV tray next to it. I picked the phone up to make a call, and I heard two men talking. One said, "Is she back on?" Then the line went dead. But in general, there weren't many unusual events for several years. Gradually, I noticed that I was not getting very many phone calls, and when I did, the caller might mention that they had been trying to call me for months but could never get an answer, even though I was usually at home and if not, had the answering device on, or that they had called and left a message twice and why did I not get back to them, even though I never got any. But I decided that was probably some glitch in the system. Then there were a string of calls I made to different technical support numbers that led nowhere. I had previously had pretty good relations with HP and Microsoft support, but suddenly they seemed hostile and frankly useless. I tried to work around it by calling different customer support numbers but it got worse. Instead of getting customer support, I got a recorded message that I should call some 900 number and someone would talk dirty to me, I was even told when I called Frigidaire customer support that they had no stores in Sioux Falls that sold Frigidaire products when in fact, there must be 30 - 40 of them, I was just trying to find out where I could buy new drip pans the most easily. It seemed to me that I was getting the same run-around from the phone company trouble numbers as well. It was then that the phone company cut off all dial-up internet service in my service area. I was up the proverbial creek without the proverbial paddle, so I called AT&T to see if they still had the 800 number for internet access that I had first used when I went on-line. They did not but told me they had a local access number for my area. This startled me, as AT&T is not big in South Dakota, but I was desperate so decided to sign up. All went OK until they gave me the numbers I would dial to get internet service and both of them were long distance, one in Sioux Falls, one in Rapid City. I protested three times that they were long distance numbers and I would get charged long distance charges. I was assured three times that I would not get any long distance charges from dialing them. I should be regarded as an idiot for believing her, but the truth is, no other ISP has ever been dishonest to me about whether a number was a local access number or not, so that was my biggest reason for finally deciding that she must know something about telephone service that I don't, which is probably the truth as she supposedly worked for a phone company and I never had. So I did use the number she had given me for a couple of months. I tried repeatedly to contact their customer support but none of them could find my account. I spent hours on the phone trying to find anyone who could tell me why, if I was not going to get any long distance charges, I kept getting warnings that I might be getting them. It finally hit me like a ton of bricks, that I had been had, that I had never been talking to AT&T, my phone calls had been being hijacked and I was talking to someone the hijackers were forwarding my calls to. I had by then gotten one phone bill that was for something like $80, when the final bill was in, it cost me nearly $300.00. AT&T claimed that they had told "me" three times that it was a long distance call to the numbers I was being given, and they probably have the recordings to prove it. I was able to find a very inexpensive ISP and my long distance was on a "nickel nights" basis, so I did all of my internet work after 7:00 p.m., and did not do anything that was not necessary. At that point, I realized that the phone line that went under my deck and entry was much more significant than I had ever thought, so I started to contact the phone company, who subsequently came out and agreed that the phone line was not as it should have been. By this time, the line went kitty-wampus across the yard directly to the deck, do not pass goal, do not collect $200, and it came back up by the foundation and went into the phone company box. Within a couple of weeks, they had fixed it so it went from their pedestal by the road directly to their box on the side of the house. By this time, I was getting for all practical purposes no phone calls other than those from my daughter in California. I very much missed hearing from people interested in the sexual harassment issue, but apparently the hijackers were not putting any of those calls through, whether they were answering them or just leaving them ring is impossible to tell, my worst case scenario was that they were answering them and giving them bad advice (as they had me regarding a local access number for AT&T), so I switched recently to have WASH's calls answered by someone else, my phone number is no longer on washrag.org. But supposedly the problem was fixed, because the phone company had fixed it, right? Not so fast. My problems had just begun. Within a week or so of the phone company fixing my hijacked phone line, I got a really bad headache. It persisted until I finally decided to disconnect all of my electronics and telephones as I had previously and then it went away. I have documented this at http://www.janetleih.com/e-harassment. I have since then been the target of a constant stream of ailments, probably mostly caused by EMF radiation. I have had to move out of my bedroom because the circuit breaker box was emitting so much radiation that at one point, I was hardly able to walk when I got up in the morning, the breaker box being right next to my bed. I have, as my web site points out, contacted various agencies of the government, local service providers like the phone company . It seems probable to me that almost all of this may be because of my involvement in sexual harassment advocacy without interjecting some religious proselytizing into the mix, just dealing with sexual harassment as a problem, although it could just as easily involve some political fanatics or even psychiatric professionals looking for more clients or some other organization focusing on sexual harassment looking for more members. In the 18 years that I have been dealing with this issue, I have found no one who is immune from sexual harassment, it has nothing to do with age, appearance, education, national origin, even gender or gender preference, and it has absolutely nothing to do with religion, or lack thereof. The victims do not deserve to be treated like they are crazy. I will not allow fanatics to take W.A.S.H. over as long as I have breath to breathe and strength to sit down at the computer a couple of times a week to answer e-mails. If they want to start a specialized organization for victims of sexual harassment, or find clients for their practice, let them do it. Why are they just anxious to rain on my parade? Because they know that given the choice, many if not most women don't want to be preached down to, they want to have contact with someone who takes their predicament seriously and is sympathetic to their situation. EVERYONE GETS SEXUALLY HARASSED. The problems with my phone have somewhat improved although I still think it is being hijacked. However, I can use it and leave it plugged in without excruciating headaches or the intense asthma attacks which I started to have when the headaches went away, also, a problem which I had for something like 40 years of suddenly starting to choke and cough when trying to talk on the phone has not occurred in a couple of months. However, within a couple of weeks after this was fixed, my geese disappeared from my yard. It was reported to law enforcement and also an ad put into the paper. On Mother’s Day 2010, I went out to do a little maintenance and found that my septic tank had collapsed. I nearly walked into it before I realized there was an open pool at my feet. THERE WAS NOTHING IN IT BUT WATER AND SLUDGE. Yesterday when a man came to check it out before fixing it, the bodies of three dead geese were lying at the bottom. It appears that someone came out while I was in town the day after I discovered the septic tank had collapsed and threw my poor geese in. I was so shocked that I couldn’t even react at the time, but since I realized that from where the geese were lying, their heads would have been above water had they been standing up, and anyway, they weren’t there three days ago. It would seem that they would have just swum around until I noticed them there anyway. What next? Who knows. I feel bad for my geese, I had them for 14 years and they were a part of my family. But I’ve been keeping an eye on my cats since then. The same day I found the septic tank had collapsed, two stray cats showed up in my yard, not unusual as I live near a state park, people tend to drop off unwanted pets in the area when they come out to camp. But one of them was identical to one of my cats, a yellow one, and the other was a calico, and guess what, my other cat is also a calico although not as close match. I had to wonder if they intended to swap my cats for someone else’s cats as some kind of a sick joke. I reported the stray cats to the sheriff’s office, and they disappeared by the next morning. Anyway, this is all to explain why it has taken me an extra three months to get the W.A.S.H. Rag ready to send out. I’ve hosted an online chat for WASH for six years. As the online communications person, I’ve certainly seen an increase in my own harassment–vandalism of our home and car, increased stalking, theft, slander campaigns, bogus traffic tickets– it goes on and on. We’ve replaced our computer six times in six years! The last attempted online chat was March 7–our computer, a brand new system less than a week old, froze up. I then, attempted a phone chat–the line went dead; and, the entire time, the motion lights in our yard continued to be tripped. One target that I was emailing at the time, said his house was being hit with pellets the entire time he tried to gain access to the chat room and phone line. The weather was good and I highly doubt any of the interference that we experienced was coincidental! I continue, to be the ear to those who need to vent and tell their stories to someone who doesn’t label them as ‘crazy’ or a ‘liar’. Since I began hosting the online chat for WASH, I’ve met and spoken to countless people( mostly women) from every walk of life, every color, every social class–they all share a common theme, and that is harassment. Every time I think I’ve heard it all, someone else tells another outrageous story. I will speak mostly of women, as they are, for the most part, the ‘targeted individuals’ or TI. I would like to say that the ‘perpetrator’ or perp of these criminal activities are sadists. They use others to inflict abuse on the TI. They are masters of Abuse by Proxy and they terrorize and intimidate others into doing their bidding. Seldom does the real perp get his hands dirty in these situations of abuse. If the harassment has been going on a while, the TI may become isolated with limited funds or transportation. The refusal of the TI to grant sexual favors to certain individuals may certainly be motive for ‘revenge’. I started emailing a TI called Patty. She was posting on a forum and mentioned she was located in the same state. We met a few times; she drove a BMW and sold shoes for a living. She had training as a dental hygienist; but, she couldn’t find work in the field she trained. I eventually invited Patty to join me and others in the online chat. Patty was divorced and had two teenage daughters. She had recently moved into a new town home, and was experiencing vandalism to her home, petty theft, stalking, her car had been keyed, someone put Nair in her conditioner, and although she couldn’t prove it–she felt her ex-husband might be behind these criminal activities. Her ex-husband had moved a young girl (not much older than their oldest daughter) into their old home. Patty was also injured in a car wreck a couple years prior, and she received an insurance settlement. So, the harassment could be from big business. Corporations are known to do such things. Patty didn’t seem as unkempt, nervous or abrasive as many TI’s present themselves. She did start emailing several men she met in the chat without my knowledge. First, she met Carl. He had a son with Attention Deficit Disorder, ADD, and Carl had moved into Patty’s town house with her. Patty was a willing bed partner, did drugs and wanted someone there to help her continue to live the life style she had become accustomed to. While Carl lived with her, she seldom showed up for online chats. Then, Carl lost his job, and didn’t have any money to contribute for a while and they went separate ways. Carl left the chat room. He’s still a TI. Patty returned to chat, and started emailing another male target, Peter. Peter, had a good day job, had also been a pimp and used to supply certain business owners with women for sexual favors. When he no longer supplied certain services, he became a target. His apartment was entered when he wasn’t home, his clothes would be slashed, and he was stalked. Now, he was looking for women to supply to these businessmen again and he came to the chat room. I’d met with Peter on a couple occasions with my husband, and on one occasion, he whispered in my ear that he could easily get $300 a job for me. I declined and politely made excuses and we left. Peter became disruptive in the chat room and I barred Peter from the chat. It was already too late. Peter and Patty had been emailing each other. He had a good job (many targets do not have employment) and he also sold drugs. Patty and Peter were right at home with each other. They were using each other to get what they wanted. I’d like to say there was a happy ending for Patty and Peter; but, I doubt that. I think it was Einstein who said, “The world is a dangerous place, not becuase of those who do evil, but, because of those who look on and do nothing.” Aunt Bea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Seeking Justice ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My name is Jennifer Collins. I am a 24 year old American Adult Abused child who is currently a refugee living in exile in the Netherlands . I was severely physically abused as a child by my father. When my brother and I came forward about the beatings we suffered during visitation my mother believed us and tried to protect us. My father claimed “parental alienation” to conceal his actions. Even though the court found domestic violence and were aware of our father’s threats to kill us and our mother custody was reversed to him. After custody was reversed the abuse escalated and court officials tried to cover up their ‘mistake’ at our expense. They intimidated and threatened us to keep quiet about the torture we endured. Our mother had no other alternative then to ‘kidnap’ us and flee the United States to protect us. (I was 9 and my brother was 11 and my baby brother was 1.) We spent 3 years in refugee camps in Europe and after extensive evaluations we were granted asylum in the Netherlands . We lived in secrecy for 14 years until we were found by the FBI. After the FBI thoroughly investigated our case and determined that we were abused and that our mother acted out of desperation to protect us, the American authorities dismissed ALL kidnapping charges against my mother. My mother refused to apologize to the county judge and plead guilty to one count of ‘contempt of court’ to which she bravely replied “I admit to having contempt for the court which refused to protect my children.” She immediately completed 40 hours of community service to be released from probation. All criminal charges pertaining to my younger brother were dismissed as well but the very same judge who refused to protect me and my older brother is seeking revenge and has issued a civil contempt of court charge until my mother returns my little brother to Minnesota. We are forced to remain in exile in Europe for another year until my younger brother turns 18. I was devastated by the abuse I suffered as a child and debilitated by the knowledge that everyone knew that our father was abusing us and they allowed it, enabled it, condoned it and worse yet – covered it up! My father even used this as a weapon against us taunting us that ‘everyone knew what he was doing and no one cared!’ Not only were we physically and emotionally abused by our father, we were intimidated, coerced and threatened by court officials to keep the abuse a secret. I have investigated my parents’ divorce and our custody case for several years now and I am outraged by the injustice. There is clear concise evidence that court officials, including the family court judge, were aware of the abuse and conspired to conceal evidence and even cover up the abuse. My mother was only 22 years old when she was thrown into the family court system. She was afraid that my father was correct that no one would believe her so she made sure she documented everything she claimed! The evidence is overwhelming and the injustice horrendous: - The family court judge found domestic violence in the very same order that he reversed custody to the very man he knew was abusive! - The family court judge had our pediatrician apprehended from his work and held in contempt of court until he apologized for accusing the court of not protecting us. - The Guardian ad litem committed perjury under oath. - The family court custody evaluators also perjured themselves under oath. - The judge refused to listen to tape recordings or review transcripts proving that several court officials perjured themselves under oath. - The court supervisors witnessed severe bruising on my body and heard my pleas for help yet they conspired with the Guardian ad litem to conceal the abuse. - Several Hennepin County government officials threatened and intimidated me and my brother to be silent. - Hennepin County court personnel conspired to conceal active abuse to me and my brother. - My brother and I have received severe physical and emotional injury from the abuse. My older brother is so damaged and emotionally crippled by the abuse that I have to act on his behalf. I can prove violations of ethics and the law and I want justice! The evidence is damming. I can prove even my most outrageous allegations, but I cannot reveal this evidence until I am sure it will be kept confidential and used appropriately. There needs to be accountability for all the abuse we suffered at the hands of the Hennepin County Family Court! Because of the publicity our case has generated and my determination to help other children from the same hell my brother and I suffered, I am in contact with many national attorneys, domestic violence agencies and media outlets who want to be involved in our case; either by helping with co-council, amicus briefs and media exposure. Right now I need to find an attorney in Minnesota who would be willing to file the necessary papers before the deadline expires. I just found out that the statue of limitations expires in 3 weeks when I turn 25 years old. Will you please help me? We both had a child with Attention Deficit Disorder, ADD. I wonder, now, as I look back, at all the other women I have spoken with, who also had a child diagnosed with ADD, if this was the reason we were targeted. By targeted, I mean: stalking, unusual phone calls at all hours (even though our phone numbers were unpublished), vandalism of our home and personal property, theft, abuse of our pets, slander campaigns, isolation from family and friends, gas-lighting (taking something and bringing it back--to make you look crazy), dumping trash on your property, drugging you through your food, a surveillance policy: monitoring your movements 24/7, phone calls, computer use, finding out who your friends are--so that they too may be corrupted by the filth who intend to destroy the target’s life. The goal is to isolate the target from any family or friends or any type of support system, so they might be set up for future arrest, institutionalization, or forced suicide ..or what appears to be suicide. In the past, minorities were treated in this fashion. I am Caucasian and never knew such things happened. In Germany, Brown Shirts were used for these types of tasks. In America, if you are considered an Activist or Dissident, you may receive this type of treatment. I believe, from my conversations with other targets of harassment, that these women were harassed because their child suffered from a disability. I also believe, that once the parent is out of the picture, the child then, becomes the target and is pushed to lengths in hopes it will commit suicide, or be institutionalized so they will have total control over the intended target. This practice is used to ‘shut the target up’. Perhaps they have witnessed a crime. Targeting is sometimes generational. Perhaps, linked to bloodlines, certain groups do not want them to flourish. In America, McCarthyism, Cointelpro, Mkultra and the Red Squad Programs were used for the harassment of various people. These programs have been in place for over one hundred years. Google them, they are real. This harassment of the targeted individual, or TI, continues, no matter where the target moves. I personally moved sixteen times in eight years...conditions were the same no matter where we lived. This is a form of modern day, systematic form of control: it could only be successful with a lot of funding, making one think that perhaps the harassment campaign is funded at some high level. Marilyn had been a witness to a murder as a very young girl. As she was walking down the sidewalk, a man in front of her was shot. She slid underneath a car parked nearby and hid til it got dark. Her life has been plagued with way too many issues of ‘bad luck’ to actually be bad luck. Her husband works for the military. She has two sons, both who have ADD. My father was targeted. As I look back, my own harassment began about the time I married my second husband, who is military retired, shortly after my own father’s death. Events in our lives, just could not be so full of bad luck. Then, when we moved away from the city, out into the country, things did seem to be better for a while. Then, we became witness to a group of neighbors stealing from neighbors, and when we tried to seek help with the local authorities, it got much worse. I have one son diagnosed with ADD, and I found out years later, that he was treated horribly at school. They would bully, hurt him, blame him for something they did...eventually he couldn’t take anymore and he dropped out of school. This from the get-go limits the ability of the next generation of the target to low income, poverty and their goal of making them destitute. If you are aware of someone being treated in this way, do not assume they have done something wrong and deserve this kind of treatment. These campaigns are based on lies and on others being gullible and believing those lies.
