Because we have a proven track record of giving visibility to victims regardless of sex or sexual orientation, religion or lack thereof, economic condition, race, age or national origin, I believe this is offensive to some. I know that whenever I mentioned some of the sexual harassment I experienced, I was met by anything from skepticism to ridicule. Now these same individuals are trying to sell themselves as experts. I question their sincerity. In this last issue of the W.A.S.H. Rag, the one I have had problems sending out, I have an article by a lesbian atheist. I am totally convinced that the faux Women Against Sexual Harassment would send her to a psychiatrist or try to convert her to one religious conviction or another. Anyone associating with the faux Women Against Sexual Harassment should take this into consideration when associating with them, they are obviously “George Bush style feminists” (an oxymoron if I ever heard one). You know, maintaining the web site and putting out the W.A.S.H. Rag is something I did because I believed that the issues was grossly misunderstood because nobody had access to the stories of the victims, so I loved getting their stories out, it was one of the most satisfying things I have ever done in my life. I am hurt and angered that someone else wants not just to start an organization to address the issue, but it is obvious they want to stop me from doing what I have been doing. I believe that shutting me up is their primary reason for existing, I was a feminist voice that the politicians did not control (I am not married so do not have a pimp) and they had to replace me with someone they did control. It is not lost on me that they are using every stalking and harassment technique to do it. It amazes me that the women who are involved in the faux Women Against Sexual Harassment are so callous as to be willing to actually be involved in harassment to get rid of me.
