benefiting from it (how else would they be on my yahoo group?), and that is just as bad as actually being a part of it.  If you know a crime is being committed and do nothing to stop it, you are just as guilty as the perpetrator.

When I logged on to Earthlink, my new ISP, yesterday, I noticed that there was a small window in the upper left hand corner.  I was startled that it said that my IP address was 67.1.182.69.  I had been checking my logs for my hypermart e-mail, and the IP addresses it was logging all started with 207.  I did print off one of the logs for washrag.org, it shows that on December 17 at 3:38 pm (all Boston time) 207.69.139.149 logged in when I did, on the 16th, 207.69.139.145 logged in at 12:11 pm, and on 12/10/2004, 207.69.139.144 logged in at 2:40 pm.  What I am to make of this, I do not know.  Whois shows that this is indeed an Earthlink IP address, but I do not believe that they should be telling me I have an IP address that starts with 67. . . And then when I log in to my e-mail, it should log in an IP address that starts with 207 . . .   Earthlink abuse@earthlink.net finally explained to me that when I had installed the earthlink accelerator began to convert my 67. . . e-mail address to a 207. . . e-mail address.  Since the problem first started when I installed the earthlink accelerator, I accepted this explanation.  Then on 12/26/2004, I logged into tucows to approve the transfer of janetleih.com, helenforelle.com and marioedlosi.com from domain people to tucows, a process which had been pending since the end of September, and they listed my IP address as 67.1.177.202.  I checked my log and on that day, and hypermart logged my IP address as 207.69.139.162.   WHEN I WAS LOGGED ON MY E-MAIL AT 207.69.139.162 IS WHEN TUCOWS SHOWED ME AS HAVING THE IP ADDRESS 67.1.177.202.

In other words, abuse@earthlink.net lied to me.  There is some kind of a scam still going on to interfere with my e-mail.  This has been pretty normal, the abuse e-mail
